How I have grown as a writer!

We brainstormed during large group times things we used to do and what we do now at writing workshop time. We went in our writing workshop folders and selected a story from September or October. I know this is a difficult task for K's but my goal for this lesson is get students to be reflective of their work and to realize how much we have been learning about writing!!
Over the next few weeks, I will be having students reflect on pieces for their portfolio. I have an easier sheet below that ask for students to circle how they did. Ideally, I wish I did this every month and hope to maybe do that next year. You can also find a simple sheet I use for published books.

I add a gold seal the kids think it's great!
I would love to share with your some of the responses students did but of course I put them in a pile somewhere and my pile is missing! I am always making piles and cleaning piles.
