Animal Research Writing

At writing workshop time, we have been working on animal research books. We have been reading lots of nonfiction books to help us gather information. The chart below helps us remember what to include in our books.

  2. Thanks for the comment Kimberly! The kids love writing nonfiction books! Melissa

  3. Thanks so much for the research writing templates. I was making my own, decided to search for any interesting versions (usually for older grades, so then I'd have to adapt for K) and found these! Happy Monday!

  4. Trying this today! We are using Pebble Go (we have a subscription) in the Computer Lab to choose an insect or amphibian to research. This ties in with our tadpole and caterpillar life cycle unit nicely. Thanks Melissa!

  5. Thank you so much for posting these! I used them when designing an inquiry unit about weather and it was perfect for my kindergarteners! Here's what their reports ended up like:

    1. Hi Coutney! I know this is an old post, but when I read that you used these for weather, I really wanted to see them! It looks like your website is no longer available. :(
