Thinking Maps Thursday

The following are Thinking Maps I have been using for fall themes in my kindergarten classroom.
Each child made their own apple Brace Map.

Making Fall Pictures for the number five.

I love this lesson it was much easier to draw pictures for combinations that equal a number.

Apple Circle Map
You can see our first thoughts were in black and after reading a story about apples we added our new thinking in red.
I taught my class a game called Attribute Match Up (TERC Investigations). One child takes out an attribute block and their partner have to match it with one attribute. The Double Bubble was a perfect map to use to get the  kids thinking about the similarities and differences in the blocks.

October Calendar
You can see under the calendar that I have a Thinking Map to record what we notice about the calendar. We have a lot to learn!

The Circle Calendar map will be ongoing during the month.
